don't ever go to this shop they will rip you off i took my car because insurance send me. Insurance paid them $50K on 9/14/2022 car was there for 2 years 8 months unfinished. I call insurance and they said to get car out of shop, went i pick car from shop car was in pieces no fender bumpers molding grill and missing parts. now he has inflated everything on the invoiced. Stay away from this shop owner is not trustworthy he will rip you off. now i need to take him to court because insurance paid full amount. not honest person after he took 2Year 8 moths he rips me off !!!!!STAY AWAY!! Freedom Custom is great! I brought my 2004 Tundra in for some paint and body work. My truck was used as a work truck so it had some body bumps and bruises and needed some painting. Steven the owner went over my truck and recommended what things he could do to make it look better. He gave me a timeframe and a quote and delivered on both. When I got my truck back I was amazed how good it looked! And all for a very reasonable price! I am enjoying cruising around in my retirement in my new looking truck!
The owner promised to restore my 57' chevy over 2 years ago just after covid. He gave me a price and told me he was finishing a 57' chevy, which I was pleased to see came out beautiful. He told me that when he had room for my truck I was next to have my truck restored. And told me to go through his son via email, which I did..after his son Stephen told me they were still trying to make room, i said ok. 6 months later I emailed him again and again he told me they were trying to find room. I explained that his father had promised me my truck was next that it had been over a year I had been waiting . Another 6 months went by and I emailed Stephen again, again he told me they were trying to find room. 6 months later I emailed Stephen again and I stated I did not want to hear that they were trying to make room for my truck, and that was the last time he responded I called his father and again he promised me in January 2023' he would be able to restore my truck. I emailed his son Stephen and told him what his father promised and explained that my last email I was not happy when I left the email about them not having room. I honestly believed Freedom custom auto and feel terrible to tarnish there 5 star rating . I am still waiting for them to restore my truck as promised and I can make turn my 1 star to 5. Boyd Coddington, a well known and respected designer, builder and painter of automobiles, operated a shop in LaHabra Ca. in 80's + 90's. When his body & paint shop was overwhelmed with work, he would often turn for help from local craftsmen who matched his high standards. I was introduced to Freedom Custom Auto Body by Boyd in the 90's and after his passing , have relied on their services for respray , color matching , and insurance collision repair. The laurels of this shop are mostly kept secret among the classic and custom car community. The Arzate family has one of the best body and paint shops in Southern California.
