This was my first experience at this location today and...I initially had a great experience going with my salesperson Daniel. He was very patient, insightful and helpful. My sister and I were both in the market for a car today, he didn't pressure either of us he guided us through the many questions we had and I am grateful for that!!! Aeden (hope i spelled it correctly) in the business office was also patient and kind while assisting me with the final processing. However I will say Jessica in the business office really pissed me off. When she called with my appraisal information she was rude and harsh over the phone only for it to continue when I returned to complete the down payment process. She actually took another customer on front of me while I was actively the next person in line and had a scheduled express pickup appointment for 530pm. It was 537pm as I stood in line and as I was waiting I did speak up and ask how he was walked to the counter as I am already scheduled been here since 1115am. I was giving attitude and told someone will help me soon. Smdh. Terrible demeanor and customer service from her. Otherwise great. Ask for Daniel!!!
Whatever you do dont get your car repossessed! Not only will you not find it! But when you do finally locate "AB recovery towing" in Anaheim 2 days later because they never answered and then find an adress online, go to their location you'll realize its just a gohst pox adress. But when I went to carmax to let them know my situation, is when they finally answer them [because carmax doesn't tow a 3rd party does] Apparently, I wasn't able to pick up my car 4 days later to this location.... [2100 curry st lbc, ca] Oh , and they wouldn't even give me da addy till the day of my pickup. DON'T GET YOUR CAR REPOSSESSED! Not to mention my car was destroyed and my tire was damaged... And when I told them about it all, they said was, oh well, I will be filing a lawsuit against them and reporting them to the BBB. ✨️5 stars because it deserves attention ✨️
I brought my son’s car to CarMax to repair an EyeSight/check engine light issue, and I had a great experience. The service advisor was very helpful and quickly scheduled an appointment for me to drop off the car. They were able to fix the issue efficiently, and I really appreciated that they also recommended I visit a Subaru dealership to address an additional error code at no cost. That level of honesty and guidance really stood out. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the service and would definitely recommend this dealer to others.
CarMax should consider honoring Kevin with a dedicated tribute. He has set an unparalleled standard for salespeople not just in the country, but potentially worldwide. Although he wasn't our initial associate, we are grateful that the first match didn't work out, as it led us to Kevin. His genuine kindness and patience throughout the buying process made a significant difference; he never pressured us into making a quick decision. Even though we had already made up our minds before visiting CarMax, Kevin helped us reinforce that choice. True to the company's no-haggle policy, he gave us a straightforward, honest, and easy-to-understand purchasing experience. He also devoted his full attention to us, ensuring we felt valued. I sincerely hope that everyone who visits this location has the opportunity to work with Kevin, and I definitely will recommend him to anyone looking for a great car-buying experience.
CarMax Buena Park should seriously retrain their employee named Beto. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. I came to sell two cars and also to buy one. I asked to see a Toyota Sequoia and Toyota Sienna. He rushed my family, walked far ahead of us, and showed no basic respect while we were with two small children. He rushed me while viewing the cars, handled the seats aggressively, and even said I should go to Toyota because he works for CarMax, not Toyota. At the Sienna, he locked the car and told me to go home and research before coming back if I didn’t already know which car I wanted. This was shocking and unacceptable customer service. I asked to speak with a manager and was thankfully transferred to Hector, who was professional, kind, and extremely helpful. Because of him, I was able to choose a Grand Highlander. CarMax didn’t have it, but Hector kindly referred me to a Toyota dealer. In the end, I successfully purchased a 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander Platinum. Huge thanks to Hector for saving this experience. CarMax should seriously retrain Beto — his behavior was unacceptable.
