Concept III is a performance-focused automotive shop based in Santa Fe Springs, serving car enthusiasts and everyday drivers throughout the greater La Mirada area and surrounding Southern California communities. The shop has built a reputation as a specialty tuner shop with a particular focus on K-series engines and Honda/Acura platform vehicles, making it a go-to destination for owners of these cars who want more than what a standard repair shop can offer.
What sets Concept III apart from general auto repair facilities is its depth of knowledge in performance tuning and engine work. Rather than offering a broad menu of basic services, the team focuses on what they know best, bringing a level of technical expertise that enthusiasts specifically seek out. Whether a customer is looking to extract more power from a daily driver or build out a dedicated track car, Concept III approaches each project with the kind of attention to detail that only comes from genuine passion for the craft.
For La Mirada residents who own Honda, Acura, or other vehicles running K-series powertrains, having a specialized shop this close to home is a genuine convenience. The drive to Santa Fe Springs is short, and working with a shop that understands the specific demands of these platforms saves time, money, and frustration compared to bringing a performance vehicle somewhere unfamiliar with its needs.
Beyond the wrenching, Concept III maintains an active presence online, sharing technical content and updates through their blog and merchandise offerings, which speaks to a shop that is genuinely embedded in the enthusiast community rather than simply operating as a transactional service business. Locals who care about their cars will find that Concept III is worth reaching out to for consultations, builds, or performance work at 14545 Valley View Ave in Santa Fe Springs.
I’ve taken my FRS, Civic, CRV, & Corolla for all of their maintenance services as well as suspension work for the Corolla and Civic. Will was so nice to give help me out with some spacers when I came in to get wheels mounted and alignment for my civic. They provide very reliable service and will continue to bring all my cars here and recommend to everyone I know.
2016 Honda Civic EX-L 10th Gen. Alright. i was quoted $2,100 to replace the fuel injectors and fuel pump without even bringing to car in to get it checked out more and see if it might be something else. I will say this, i forgot to mention about my coolant running dry after 6 months. maybe that would've changed things, but my red flag was that they just diagnostic the car over the phone. they asked what gas i put in the car i said Shell, Mobil, Costco and Chevron, funny thing is that i literally only put chevron once (the last time was like 8 months ago) that week and that's why i mentioned it. I was told that Chevron wears the injectors down, that's when i knew there was no way it was the injectors, i only filled up half the tank with 91 gas and some how that fried my injectors? long story short i took my car to another shop and they said right now a lot of those Civics are coming in with the exact issue and 90% of time it was the head gasket. i had a very thin and small leak. they were able to pour a liquid to seal the leak. Now my car runs smooth with no issue. total paid $160. i suggest they investigate more and not assume over the phone then get quoted and ask for a deposit. i would've been scammed and the issue in the car would've never been cured
Not sure why this shop doesn't have more reviews. Been going here since last year and each service has been fantastic. Service here is top notch and offers competitive pricing. Really appreciate you can make appointments here. Just show up on time, and they'll starting working on your car immediately. Only downside is that these guys are booked pretty fast so you'll have to plan ahead or look for a different shop for anything urgent. Also worth mentioning the staff here are pretty nice too. Came 40 mins late to an appointment and they surprisingly still accepted me. (Sorry) Again, really nice people. And top of that, it's cool knowing the owner: Will, is a car enthusiast. That alone, tells me he cares about the work he puts into his customers cars. Came on a good day and Will had his GTR parked out
Took my recently acquired used car in on a Saturday for an overall check up after prepaying and making an apppointment. I knew some of the things that were wrong with the car but deliberately left that info out to see what they find. Got a call 2 hours later saying car is ready. I pick it up and guess what? Nothing. No report. No breakdown of things the car needs. My expectation was I would get a report of things needed which I would have gladly approved and get the work done. And these guys make you prepay before you even set foot in the place. But instead I was told to pick up the car and a report/estimate to be emailed to me the next week . Who does that? Never in my 30 years of taking cars in for service did I expect that to happen. I had to call back after a few days later to get the multipoint inspection and estimate I paid for. Unacceptable imo. I truly do not think they had any intention of performing any work on my car which only needed minor things...valve cover gasket, shocks/struts, belts, undercarriage splash shield. Basic stuff. Their excuse was they only have a couple of bays and space is limited. Fine. Then tell me that before hand. My feeling is that I paid for NOTHING. I had to ask for the multipoint inspection. I took the car to another repair facility and got a proper inspection. I ended up doing all the work that the car needed and a few more maintenace items. Only took a day and a half. Concept 3 told me a few days for parts plus a a day or two for installation. Irregardless, I would have been fine leaving the car for as long as they needed it. What turned me off as a consumer, was I really did not get the service I paid for after prepaying for an inspection, making an appointment, and taking a Saturday to get things handled as weekdays are usually pretty hectic for me. Again, I told them I would been fine leaving the car there for days or even a week. It was my first time there but I should have known that their bread and butter is modifying Korean cars. I went to them because of the posts they make on social media making it seem like they can diagnose a vehicle. Anyway, never again. Instead, I took my car to a proper shop in Yorba Linda a few miles from my house and got all the mechanical issues sorted in addition to some recommended items such as all fluids, rear speakers, and front/rear shocks/struts. That shop was thorough and communicated with me every step of the way. Car is driving like a new car again. No thanks to Concept3
Gonna keep it real here. Don't know if this shop is well-known due to social media, but a friend of mine introduced this shop to me when I mentioned of needing an oil change. Every time I call, no one answers. When I text, maybe once in a while they respond, but most of the time, there’s no follow-up at all. The one time I did manage to book an appointment, the oil change itself was done at a reasonable price with friendly service, but I ended up waiting 30–45 minutes just to get my keys back because the front desk employee was busy chatting with another customer about cars. A few months later, I tried reaching out again to schedule another oil change. No one answered my calls or responded to my text and I waited 3 whole days and still received nothing on my end.. If this is the level of customer service they offer, it’s honestly not worth the hassle. Concept 3 is literally expecting its customers to drive to their shop and make an appointment due to their negligence of responding back to their customers. I’ve seen their YouTube videos addressing complaints about poor communication, saying they’re “booked, busy, or tightly scheduled,” and while I understand that, it shouldn’t be difficult to at least acknowledge or respond to customers. For a business that gets attention on social media, it’s surprising how poorly customer communication is handled.
