What a hidden historical gem in Orange County! It's a large area and you feel like you have stepped 130 years back in history when you you walk through the iron gates into the museum area. The Kellogg House is preserved exactly like it was over a hundred years ago when the family lived in it. This staircase in it is amazing, and the house layout is very interesting, including the third mezzanine layer. The Maag house is being restored, and it needs a lot of work. So feel free to make a donation either online or in person πŸ˜ƒ. There's also a living breathing blacksmith shop where they provide the ongoing training, and they also do presentations at events. Behind the blacksmith shop there's a farm trail, where they have farm equipment spread along the trail, along with descriptions. The Farm trail loops around and ends up by the gold mine. All in all, it's a nice way to spend a few hours and to feel like you're back in the late 1800s or early 1900s, with all the plants and Greenery surrounding your. As soon as you walk out into the parking lot, you are in the Santa Ana industrial area, with a school on the other side😲

I came here for a lucha libre event and it was insanely cool! The area itself was beautiful and the courtyard was lovely. I did not see the museum itself and I would love to come back. The event was fun and I hope they host more like this 😁

I attended a wedding here a couple of weeks ago with my husband and son and we also helped set up some bits and bobs of decor during the afternoon leading up to the evening event. The venue is charming, rustic, and photographs very well. I look forward to attending any future events here.
