Nancy, the person who answered my call told me, "No problem at all—I’ll wait for you. Which car would you like to see?" (She never told the time they close)I told her I was interested in a Hyundai Santa Fe, and she assured me that by the time I arrived, she would have some cars ready for me to view. When I got there, the place was closed. I dialed the same number again, nobody answered, then walked around the building looking for another entrance, but I couldn't find one. I returned to the main entrance, just as an employee was walking out. I said to him, "I drove an hour to come and see a car because I’m interested in buying a car." He told me he would call Nancy—the person who had answered my call. He called her, but she didn't pick up; he then sent her a few text messages, explaining to me in the meantime that Nancy lived very close by and would surely come back to assist me. After finally getting in touch with her, he informed me that the car in question had already been sold and that she would not be able to return. This situation upset me greatly, as it shows a complete lack of respect to lie to people like that. I drove for an hour only to find that no one was there; I wasted my time, my gas, and any desire I might have had to return to Hertz—a place with terrible customer service. I would have been happy if the employee had simply said: "You know, we close at 6 PM; you can come back another day—here are our business hours."
