My first and last experience! The front office staff was nice but it's very obvious the Dentist does not value your time. I was called back for my 4:30 appointment at 4:50..ok, it happens. I went back, the assistant took 15 minutes of xrays and then I sat, and sat and sat. No update from anyone. I finally got up and walked out at 5:50. As a first time patient, if this is how it's going to be then I'd rather not use their office. My husband whom was waiting for me in the lobby said another woman also complained after waiting for 25 minutes after her appointment time. Two other men were falling asleep and he said they were waiting a long time. The back area felt like the Dentist squeezes people in with no respect for their time. When I complained to the front desk, they had the look like sorry, but this happens all the time. It wasn't their fault though. What a waste of my time!

What a beautiful Waiting room. Greeted by an even more beautiful receptionist, Stephanie. Sparkling attitude and professionalism in both English AND perfect spanish. Once you are let in past the door to the exam rooms beautiful pop music is loudly played. Making for club-type feel. Seems as if staff must speak louder just to be heard. Having loud pop music makes both staff AND patients want to speak that much louder. Billing: oh here we go... It's the same wherever and whomever dental company is used dentist will always find something that YOUR INSURANCE DOESN'T COVER in spite of purchasing ADDITIONAL/PERSONAL dental insurance. So please take care of your MOUTH!!!!!!!!! All treatment AND billing was explained to me IN DETAIL and s l o w Thank you Stephanie for that. X-ray tech young, kind and professional, sorry I can't spell your name. It was a great experience over all. So glad to be here UPDATE: I was given a re-do by Hygienist Christina. What professionalism! I'm not going to throw shade to the PREVIOUS Hygienist but Christina is ANITHER LEVEL of professional. Super gentle AND efficient. Fortunately she was able to save Dr. Ocampo's REPUTATION Bravo Ms. Hygienist Christina

I have been coming to this office for 15+ years and have always been treated great! All the dentist are very knowledgeable and the hygienist are all super friendly and good with doing the cleanings. I’ve seen multiple dentist and feel comfortable with whomever sees me. The front desk has always been helpful and on top of things. I’ve had 2 crowns and regularly scheduled cleanings in all my time with them…would recommend giving them a try.

The dentist himself is skilled when he’s in, and the hygienist does great work as well. The staff is friendly, but the office overall feels disorganized and overly pushy about optional treatments. At our first visit this year, my husband and I were both encouraged to do a $200 “laser gum treatment” each — likely unnecessary, but we went along with it and had a good experience overall. Six months later, I returned for my cleaning and made it clear I didn’t want that treatment again. The staff continued to recommend it, but I declined. I was seen by a very kind hygienist, though the dentist never came in to assess my teeth for cavities or overall health. My husband’s experience was more frustrating. He waited an hour for his scheduled appointment before being brought to the dentist’s chair, where they discussed having his wisdom teeth removed. He was quoted around $1,800 — without any sedation beyond oral medication, which seemed high. After that conversation, he scheduled the procedure for the following Monday. However, he left that visit without a cleaning because they told him they weren’t sure how much longer it would be until he could be serviced. In the days leading up to the procedure, we decided not to go through with it due to no option for gas sedation, and the high pricing. He called early that morning to cancel, and the office told him they would charge a $150 cancellation fee — even though we couldn’t find any mention of that policy on their website or in any confirmation messages (none of which I ever actually confirmed). To avoid the fee, he decided to still come in for just a cleaning since he hadn’t been seen the week before. When he returned, the same thing happened as with my appointment — the hygienist cleaned his teeth, but the dentist never came in for an exam or evaluation. Overall, while there are some great individuals here, the office’s approach feels more focused on upselling and unnecessary procedures than on providing thorough, consistent dental care. Though the staff is kind, the atmosphere often feels pushy and profit-driven rather than service-oriented, which is disappointing for a healthcare setting.

This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a dental office. I went to Imperial Dental and, after X-rays, was told I needed a root canal and crown due to a cracked tooth. I was scheduled for treatment on 12/15/25. During the appointment, they began drilling my tooth, took another X-ray mid-procedure, and then decided I needed to see a specialist to determine whether the tooth could even be saved. At that point, they stopped the procedure and placed a temporary filling in my partially drilled tooth. I was referred to ACE Dental Specialties in Fullerton. On 12/22/25, after waiting for my appointment, I was informed that they do not accept my insurance. I immediately called Imperial Dental to explain the situation. Stephanie took my call on 12/22/25 and said she would get back to me later that day. I never received a call. I followed up again later that same day and was given the same response, but still no return call. I called again on 12/30/25 and was once again told someone would get back to me. As of today, 12/31/25, I am still waiting for a response. I am now left with a partially treated tooth, no clear treatment plan, and no communication from the office. This experience reflects a serious lack of coordination, communication, and patient care. I would not recommend this office based on my experience.
