Lakin Tire West Inc., located at 15305 Spring Ave in nearby Santa Fe Springs, provides scrap tire collection, tire recycling, and used tire sales to businesses and individuals throughout the greater Los Angeles area. While the company operates on a national scale, its local presence makes it a practical and accessible resource for tire shops, automotive service centers, and fleet operators in communities like La Mirada who need reliable, compliant solutions for managing waste tires.
One of the company’s core services is its scrap tire collection program, which is designed to accommodate businesses of all sizes. Whether a shop generates a handful of tires each week or hundreds per month, Lakin Tire builds a customized pickup schedule that fits the operation. This is particularly useful for local auto shops and dealerships that are legally required to properly dispose of used tires and want a hassle-free way to stay in compliance without managing the logistics themselves.
Beyond collection, Lakin Tire is actively involved in tire recycling, giving old and unusable tires a second life rather than sending them to landfills. This commitment to responsible disposal makes the company a meaningful partner for businesses in the region that are looking to reduce their environmental footprint. The recycling process is handled with care and efficiency, reflecting years of experience in the industry.
Lakin Tire also sells used tires and casings, which can be a cost-effective option for customers who need functional tires without the price tag of new ones. This side of the business serves budget-conscious drivers and smaller repair shops looking to offer affordable options to their own customers.
La Mirada residents and local business owners looking to schedule a scrap tire pickup, explore recycling options, or inquire about used tire inventory can reach Lakin Tire West Inc. by phone at (800) 488-2752 or through the contact form on their website. Spanish-language assistance is also available, making them an accessible option for the diverse communities they serve across Southern California.
Drop and hooks are Monday through Friday. 5 AM to 6 PM closed on the weekends and most holidays. There is parking on the street. A restroom inside the gate or across the street. Empty trailers are in a secure lot, 13370 Firestone Boulevard, Santa Fe Springs, California. You must get a pass from check-in
First time I delivered a shipment to their yard. I was instructed to park the trailer in their secondary yard. A smaller and more crowded yard on the next street, back side of the building. The spot that the yard driver told me to park it was a tight spot to me. So I did the best I could and backed it in as far as I could get it. When I dropped the trailer the yard driver proceeded to confront me about it. I told him that was as close as I could park the trailer with out hitting anything. At that point the yard driver choose to insult my driving skills and talk trash. Let's just say that will be the one and only time that I will ever deliver to that company.
It was a quick in and out delivery. Overnight parking on surrounding streets. Dropped my loaded easily in back lot and picked up my empty 1/4 mile in their empty lot.
Didn't check in when I arrived. Yard driver told me to drop trailer then check in on the way out. Had to wait for another driver to drop his trailer first. Once I dropped mine and checked in the rude lady in receiving said I was late and had to take trailer and come back the next day. Just a sad lazy rude person.
They had to move trailers in order for me to back into the dock and I had to back in from the road, but nice people even the warehouse guy
