Mariscos El Cangrejo Nice brings the bold, vibrant flavors of Mexican seafood cuisine to Imperial Highway in La Mirada, offering residents a lively dining experience rooted in coastal Mexican culinary tradition. Known for its fresh mariscos — a broad category of seafood dishes that can include everything from ceviche and aguachile to shrimp cocktails and whole fish preparations — El Cangrejo Nice has built a following across Southern California with multiple locations in Anaheim and Santa Ana, and now serves the La Mirada community directly.
The restaurant caters to families, groups of friends, and anyone looking for a flavorful, satisfying meal in a festive atmosphere. Mariscos dining tends to be a communal experience, and El Cangrejo Nice leans into that culture, making it a welcoming destination for birthdays, casual weeknight dinners, or weekend gatherings. The menu focuses on seafood-forward dishes prepared in the tradition of Pacific coastal Mexico, where fresh ingredients and bold seasoning take center stage.
What sets El Cangrejo Nice apart from typical seafood chains is its commitment to an authentic experience that goes beyond the food. The brand is known for incorporating entertainment into the dining environment, giving the La Mirada location the potential to serve as a lively local spot for residents who want more than a standard sit-down meal. Guests are encouraged to check directly with this specific location regarding current menu offerings, hours of operation, and any entertainment programming, as these details can vary between branches.
For La Mirada residents along the Imperial Highway corridor, having a dedicated mariscos restaurant nearby fills a genuine gap in the local dining scene. Whether someone is craving a cold seafood cocktail on a warm afternoon or a full spread of grilled fish and sides for a family celebration, Mariscos El Cangrejo Nice offers a flavorful option that reflects the rich culinary diversity of the broader community.
I really loved tge whole atmosphere. With the relaxing DJ, and karaoke showed am amazong atmosphere. The overall atmostphere is perfect for Saturdays and Sundays family Maricos week out. I felt I had a good time. That said they offered a well range of drinks woth Aguasfrescas, sodas and water with a good amount of food for the cost. (We had to take food home)
Food was excellent! Service was average. Visited during non busy hours (2 other tables) and the waitress got one of our orders slightly wrong (aguachiles verde instead of aguachiles rojos) however it was delicious regardless. Prices are good on some items, but much higher on others compared to similar restaurants.
Amador has best customer service we have seen!! Food is great quality! I've celebrated my company Xmas party last 4 years straight. Always a pleasure!
The Mojarra Frita was very dry and lacked flavor and had very little meat on them but the Camarones Zarandeado were absolutely delicious 🔥🔥🔥 *** THE CAMARONES CUCARACHOS WERE SOOOOOO GOOOOD! somebody needs to kiss that cook cuz he's got dat sazon 🤌 *** The service was good and so was the food we got ceviche, tacos gobernador , and camarones a la diabla. My only complaint is the camarones a la diabla were too mild my michelada tasted a little watered down but was good.
Came by for lunch to try El Cangrejo Mariscos which was recommended to me by a friend. I arrived right before the lunch rush and good thing because when I was leaving it was packed. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Daisy brought chips and salsa and took my drink order. By the time she came back with the drink I knew I was in for a delicious meal. When you taste the salsa you will know what I mean. Great flavor and just the right amount of heat. Of course I have to order my go to Camarones a la Diabla. The plate was huge and plenty of large camarones, the sauce is one of the best that I have had in all of the places I have been thus far. When you are in the La Mirada area and looking for a great place to grab a cold beer and a bite to eat this should at the top of the list. Until next time!
