Located in Buena Park’s Beach Boulevard corridor, The Gallery Local Artist Project is an art gallery that focuses on showcasing work by local artists. The gallery serves art enthusiasts, collectors, and members of the community who are looking to engage with original work from artists in the surrounding region.
In addition to exhibition space, the gallery appears to offer services and an online store, suggesting visitors may have opportunities to purchase artwork or related products directly. The presence of an archive section indicates the gallery also maintains a record of past artists and exhibitions, which may be of interest to those researching the local art scene.
For La Mirada residents, the gallery is a nearby destination for engaging with original visual art without traveling far from the community. Beach Boulevard connects La Mirada directly to Buena Park, making this a practical and accessible option for locals interested in supporting independent artists or simply exploring what the regional creative community has to offer.
this place is literally so cute. my boyfriend and i were trying to find the perfect rainy day activity but everything was way too out of our budget. we decided to settle on the source and the cafes there, but we stumbled across this store. they have these custom patch section where you can decorate your own strap keychains. my boyfriend and i made matching ones and they came out sooo cute and the total for the both of us was around $26. totally worth the price. this experience was even better because we were talking to william who was such a delight. he was very caring and attentive and knew just how to make us happy customers. 10/10 experience and i will be coming back.
This is probably one of my new favorite places to go to at The Source! Not only is it a place that displays work from small businesses, the main draw is definitely the patch station. There are so many patches to choose from, and one can either decorate a strap or mini tote bag! I found the patch selection to be great, with a good variety of shapes and letters! I decorated a strap on 3 different occasions and it’s a fun activity to do with friends. For any kpop Stans, this is a great place to decorate a strap for your favorite group! Even though you pay for the strap/mini tote bag, on top of each patch you choose to put on, I still think it’s a fun activity for people to do! The staff is also very welcoming and kind, and helped us whenever we had any questions. Definitely recommend!!
On December 20 around 5:00 PM, this was my second visit, and I was really excited to make another keychain. I took extra time to line everything up perfectly before it was ironed down. Unfortunately, the blue dinosaur patch was not applied correctly, and the letter “Q” was also crooked even though I had aligned it straight. When it was brought back to me, the patch had been ironed far to the left and was completely misaligned from how I had set it up. I was extremely disappointed, especially since I didn’t receive an apology until after I had already paid. When I expressed my disappointment, the cashier, a male wearing glasses, did not seem to care or show any concern. I also asked if there was a way to remove the patch and fix it, but was told they didn’t know how or hadn’t been taught how to do so. I ended up having to purchase another blue dinosaur patch and remove the old one myself at home to fix the issue. This took away from what should have been a fun experience with my friends. Sadly, I will not be returning. The first photo shows how I originally positioned the patch. The second photo shows how it was returned to me after being ironed by the cashier.
It was my second time coming here and it’s so nice to see local artists artwork around the room. Allison informed us about the various table displays and showed us the iron on keychains and patches. We made one that day and it was so much fun! She helped us with the patch designs and helped us make our final design decisions! Thanks so much for the help and looking forward to our next visit!
Such an underrated place that isn’t visited enough! It was great looking at all the artworks done by local artists and shoutout to William for being so helpful and welcoming us with free water as we walked in! We got a nice wedding gift for a good price by the end of the visit. Will definitely be coming back!
