The practice also works with children and adolescents, making it a useful resource for La Mirada families navigating behavioral challenges, school-related stress, or emotional difficulties in younger members of the household. Couples looking to improve communication or work through conflict can also find qualified support through the practice.
For La Mirada residents, the proximity of this location on North Beach Boulevard makes it a practical option for consistent, ongoing care without a long commute. The combination of therapy and psychiatry services under one roof means clients who need both talk therapy and medication support can coordinate their care more easily. Those interested in scheduling can reach the office by phone at (562) 303-5925 or book directly through the Thriveworks website.
Thriveworks is one of the most unethical mental health companies I’ve dealt with. They care far more about protecting revenue than doing right by their patients. My EAP clearly stated I had 3 free sessions, but their therapist repeatedly told me I had 6 free sessions and even confirmed it with their Regional Director. Based on that information, I continued treatment and attended a 4th session, only to later get charged because the information THEY provided was wrong. When I disputed the charge, the therapist admitted she gave me incorrect information. Despite acknowledging their own mistake, Thriveworks still refused to refund the charge. That tells you everything you need to know about this company’s priorities. As for the actual care, I tried two different therapists and the experience was disappointing. One seemed more focused on scheduling additional appointments and pushing prescriptions than providing meaningful support. The whole experience felt transactional instead of patient-centered. Mental health treatment requires trust, transparency, and accountability. Thriveworks failed on all three. There are far better providers out there that actually care about patients instead of squeezing every dollar they can from them.
I worked with Dr. Mary Tagle for a little over a year, and from the get-go she was very professional and more importantly very personable. I really appreciated how she conducted our sessions and knew how to navigate between listening and providing actionable tools for me to implement to better my mental health. I never felt like "a patient" or "client", and she was very flexible with the fairly frequent changes to adhere to my work schedule. All in all, I'm glad I found Mary and stuck with it.
Great experience being here with the group of people. Always so welcoming, and when I came to sessions I felt welcomed and accepted! Never judged. We do equine therapy as well with Tara’s Chance and it was really helpful! Thank you for the amazing and humbling experience!
My original provider went on medical leave. The replacement sounded like she was complaining and told me she wasn’t sure why they gave me to her. Then she wasn’t familiar with the online paperwork and seemed to struggle. I waited 2+ weeks and called a couple of times and my prescription never went through, although they said it had been processed. I dropped them and went through a different company instead. I’m hoping to get proper treatment with thorough follow up.
Dr Mary Tagle is a very professional and friendly therapist. My first time doing therapy and was a little nervous on first session. Dr Tagle made me feel very comfortable and made sure to connect with me as a patient. Makes sure after each session she does follow up within 3 business days in email on things discussed. She is very flexible and does her best to work around your schedule and needs and loved that weekends is an option if needed, which was hard for me to find with other therapist. But definitely would give her 10 stars. She has definitely helped me and make improvement's in my life I would highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you for all you do Dr. Tagle!!!
