I went into Ulta today after not buying or wearing makeup for almost a year after my mom passed. I just needed the basics as I don't wear a lot of makeup. I can't remember the name of the girl who first helped me, but she was so sweet and even said she'd tell the cashier about honoring a 50% sign that was still up. I then went to pay and had the pleasure of being helped by Esther. I asked quite a few questions regarding my account and my mom's account and she seemed like she genuinely wanted to help me with my issue, and I can't tell you how much I appreciated that. I never leave reviews and am sitting in my car writing this review right after I left Ulta. So, hopefully Esther sees this and can see that her kindness definitely made my day. š
I want to start by saying that I usually love shopping at Ulta because the customer service is always so friendly and helpful. However, during my recent visit, I felt dismissed by the cashier. When I used a gift card and asked where to find the remaining balance, she told me to ājust read it on the receiptā in a tone that felt condescending. It made me feel uncomfortable, as if I was bothering her for asking a simple question. Iām sharing this feedback because my experiences there are typically very positive.ā I just didnāt appreciate the cashier Emma not trying to help me with a simple question or her not trying to show any personality with me after I shared how great the deals were, and she just ignored me and then made me feel like inconvenienced her with trying to find my remaining balance on my gift card. Walking away. Thatās not Ulta beauty great customer service if you ask me.

Donāt come to this location if youāre looking for any of the more affordable brands (Morphe, ColourPop, L'OrĆ©al, etc) I come here regularly and every single time this section of the store is so ran through and out of stock on every common shade. Annoying!
