This museum its small but very well put together! Great historic information about the city of whittier. The second floor is very nice as well with information regarding President Nixon!
Visited on 9/7/24 Wonderful museum with so much local history, this is a must see. The person working was informative and extremely polite. There was a class being performed for kids and it was a little loud in that immediate area. The magician exhibit was probably one of the coolest exhibits I’ve ever seen in person. There is a room with past technology and you’re able to go in touch and play with these items. Go and support this local gem and donate if you’re able to keep it open for the future generations to see and enjoy. The photos I’ve posted do no justice, need to see in person!!
We visited for an event, a reading of plays, but arrived early and got to spend time walking through the museum. This place is a real gem! There are so many great exhibits and recreations of buildings that you can walk through. It is really cool to see how Whittier and Santa Fe Springs began. Highly recommend visiting even if you're not from this city.
Really enjoyed our visit to the Whittier Museum. We were able to walk through in about an hour. So many great photos and lots of information on Whittier’s history. They also have a Magic Show exhibit upstairs with memorabilia from acts like Houdini. We were told they do a magic show and magic trick class monthly. Will definitely need to check that out! Admission is free and donations are welcome.
Came here for a ghost tour and I had the most fun! The ghost tour was well informed and delightfully spooky. There was some odd occurrences that the staff mentioned would happen but still rightfully creepy. I would definitely recommend to do go and experience this once! It has the right mix of history and spooky fun!
